Chris Unsworth stands 6′7″ tall and weighs in at a solid 225 lbs.; a very strong player considering he is an incoming freshman for the 2006-’07 Dinos. The left handed post player was a two sport all-star at Medicine Hat High School, and has been recruited by the Dinos Football team as well.

In leading his Mohawk teams of the past two years to back to back Southern Alberta Basketball titles, Chris and his teammates have made history for their high school. Chris’ presence in the post for ‘Hat High was a big determining factor, and he received a lot of interest from Canada West universities in the recruiting wars. The Dinos are fortunate to snag the hard-working freshman, whose older brother Clint, is a 6′9″ 2nd year at the University of Saskatchewan. The brothers transferred to Medicine Hat from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and the Mohawks became an instant powerhouse in Southern Alberta football and basketball.

Look for the big red head to provide an enthusiastic and aggressive element to the Dinos inside game in the upcoming season. Chris will join the Dinos in practice in the last week of August in preparation for games with the University of Wyoming on September 2 and 3.
