After returning from his mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Joel will hope to make an impact with the Dinos after playing one season at Red Deer College. At RDC, Joel had an outstanding freshman season winning the 2004 ACAC Rookie of the Year Award, and the Top Defensive Player in the ACAC. Joel was also a winner of the Rutherford Scholarship will attending Bert Church High School, and playing for Coach Allan Gallup.

Joel is currently a Communications and Culture student at the U of C, but hopes to have a career in Bio-Medical Engineering.
