The UBC T-Birds, ranked #2 in Canada, left little doubt on Friday as they manhandled the visiting Calgary Dinos 100-75 in Vancouver. The home club went on a 10-0 run in the middle of the first half to establish a 32-20 lead, and they never looked back.

Calgary got another good offensive game from Josh Feist as he chalked up 17 pts. and 11 assists and he was helped by Cody Darrah’s 16 pts as well as 12 from Jeremy Odland. The Dinos inside game, which had figured to be a plus in this game, was not up to the task, with Ross Bekkering fouling out in just 11 minutes of playing time, Robbie Sihota, cold in the first half, and finishing with only 8 pts. for the night, and Joe Schow tallying a meagre 5 pts. and committing 4 turnovers.

For the game, UBC shot 57% from the floor, while Calgary managed only 44%. The Dinos hit 9/21 three pt. shots, but UBC was better with 11/25. The T-Birds Casey Archibald led all scorers with 24 pts.

Calgary is now 0-2 and UBC goes to 4-0 in league play.
