Dinos Tame Cougars
Second Half Dinos Chase Away Cougars
At 38-36 Regina after the first half, the score flattered the lethargic Dinos, whose listless efforts baffled the assembled faithful. Luckily, a merry band of flag-waving students dressed in Dino gear appeared for the second half, and had to be cautioned for excessive noise by the refs.
Coincidentally, Calgary shooters found their eyes, and a 64 point barrage , including 10/15 from 3 pt. range torched the Regina pretenders for a 100-86 Calgary win.. Josh Feist, once again, led the way with a spectacular 25 pt., 14 assist double -double. Robbie Sihota, coming off an ankle sprain from last week made the best use of 14 minutes of action as he punctuated a 15 pt. effort with a nifty baseline move for a slam early in the second half. Ross Bekkering led the Dinos with 10 rebounds and added 12 pts. as Calgary snared 33 boards against 31 for the shorter Cougars. Long - range bombing was the Dinos salvation as the home team hit on 13/26 treys. Every player in the Calgary line-up hit the score sheet as subs came early and often.
