Dinos Recruit Earns Multiple Honors

Jeff Price, the starting Point Guard for the Mount Royal College Cougars has been in the spot light lately for ACAC and CCAA athletics. Jeff will be a transfer guard for the University of Calgary Dinos starting this September. The 6′0″ Calgary resident won back to back ACAC titles with the Cougars in his first two seasons and finished 4th this year at the CCAA Nationals. Jeff attended Lord Beaverbrook High School where he led his team to the 4A Provincial High School Basketball Title before starting at MRC.

Jeff Price is a second year guard with the MRC Cougar Men’s Basketball Team studying business. He led the Cougars in scoring, averaging 18.59 pts per game, and played a big part in MRC claiming their second straight ACAC Championship. At the CCAA national championship, where MRC finished fourth, Jeff ranked third in scoring and was named to the tournaments’ 1st All Star team.

This season, in addition to being awarded ACAC Athlete of the Year, Jeff has also been named to the ACAC All-Conference team, twice awarded Subway Athlete of the Week, and chosen as a CFCN Television Athlete of the Week, a CCAA Athlete of the Month, and a CCAA All-Canadian. As well, Jeff was named the Al Bohonus Male Student-Athlete of the Year at Mount Royal College.

In addition to receiving the ACAC Athlete of the Year, Jeff was also named the 2007 Mount Royal Athlete of the Year, as well as ACAC Basketball Player of the Year.
