The 2007-2008 Dinos Men’s Basketball team appeared very comfortable in their shoes yesterday. High heel shoes that is as they “Walked a Mile in her Shoes” in support of the Calgary YWCA and the Cardel Emergency Housing Fund. Helping to raise awareness for a worthy cause, the boys took to downtown Calgary during Lunch hour on September 24 strutting their stuff in front of a large crowd oohing, awing and cheering the Dinos around the 1 mile track. Even Rex, the Dinos Mascot joined the team on Stephen Ave as more than 250 Calgary and Area men walked in the hope of raising $130,000. Along with the Dinos, the Calgary Stampeders and the Calgary Hitmen were in attendence.

The Dinos were the only team with full representation, thus earning them a spot on Global TV News at Noon, live and on location. The team would like to thank all of those who supported the cause and the team!

The Dinos take to the court this weekend as they head to Red Deer Alberta for a 3 game stint at the RDC Invitational Tournament vs. ACAC competition. Game times are 6:00pm Thursday vs. Concordia University College, 4:00pm Friday vs. Red Deer College, and 4:00pm Saturday vs. MacEwan.
